Improving Your Existing Real World Business

As I was writing an email to one of my new clients, I realized this would be a good bit of information to share with anyone who runs a real world business.  This is a landscaping company, but the model, blog marketing plan, and roll out methods all work in just about every other business.

WebMarketing

“I don’t know how into the Internet you are, or promoting your business online, but there are a lot of different approaches when dealing with a company that already exists and has a substantial revenue stream already in place.

One of the main things is getting everything your company does online, explained in plain english, and visible to search engines.  Thats all easy, one time jobs, that you never need to think about again.  The parts that will seperate yourself from other people online are things like a blog (company journal), where you track progress from each job site with images, and text explaining the process your company uses, and how well its turning out.  This is a more aggressive approach to promoting your company, which identifies more directly with your future clients.  Its a universal rule that any time a customer sees frequent updates, with a date and time (from yesterday’s job) posted online, they are going to trust you more.  You’re giving them an active gateway to contact you whenever necessary.  This also is time consuming, and may not seem effective in the beginning, but everyone I’ve ever consulted for has found in the end it really pays dividends. “
