I get asked this question at least three times a day, but I finally decided to answer one fellows e-mail as a blog post to save myself from having to e-mail back on all of them.  Chris C. From Ohio writes:

Now the first thing you really need to do, is read my blog posts about affiliate programs.  It is the quickest way to get the basics of finding your niche.  Going beyond that, think about what you buy online.  What gets YOU to spend YOUR money?  You need ink, right?  There are three to four great ink affiliate programs out there.  I won’t give out any names, but it shouldn’t be hard to find them…  What else do you need?  What is the largest online auction website?  Largest vendor of stocked products?  Now you’re getting the idea.
Why don’t I just TELL You?  Ha!  These programs are already saturated and you will need to be smart enough to find them to make any money off them- you’ve been pointed in the right direction, now go make some money.  Oh, and if you start making $5,000 a month of any of these, I want 20% sent to me in PayPal.
