Government Sites with Porn on them

The Porn sites are up to no good again. I always wonder if it is a webmaster-gone-bad or a hacker, but here are a couple government sites currently being taken advantage of.
CA.GOV (10,000 pages of porn)
BURBANKIL.GOV (13,000 pages of porn)

Why do they target GOV, you ask? GOV websites are thought to (and probably does) have more power in google’s eyes than a normal .com, .net, and .org. The reason google accepts a GOV site as more credible is because not everyone has access to them… just their employees, oh, and hackers.
There are more, but I won’t release them right now.

This is actually a very simple thing to check for as a webmaster. Simply go to Google.com and use the search operator inurl…. i.e.

inurl:.gov “keyphraseINquestion”

or to break it down to one specific site…

site:mysite.gov “KeyphraseINquestion”
GOV site admins- yield my advice, run this search once a week to protect your name.

UPDATE: The CA.GOV site is healthy again
