I found out you can download the .torrent for DreamScene for Windows Vista already. The program is pretty cool, I expect a release of the real version to be a few months out, but the beta seems to be working perfectly fine.

This is actually a really easy fix. The problem is with Nero Burning Rom, any current version. Ive tested updates, and none of them are currently working. The problem stems from opening video folders, and Nero Showtime crashes the COM Surrogate executable.

Simply remove the Application, and the problems will go away. If you do not want to completely do away with the application, you can try renaming the file C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\NeVideo.ax to NeVideo.ax.bak This will break Nero Showtime, however.

Nero has been useless for burning DVDs for me anyway since the upgrade, so I simply removed it.

I upgraded to Windows Vista Ultimate the day it came out.  I had been using RC2, which worked fine, with a few minor errors I assumed would be ironed out.  I downloaded a copy off Windows Marketplace, and was on my way.  The process went fast, up and running quick, without nearly as many issues as had been dealt earlier.  Then I began getting errors.  COM Surrogate has stopped working, Rundll32 error, UltraEdit-32 wouldn’t work with this new version, although it worked fine on RC2.
